Year of 2016

By Lawrence Lai

HKSS starts the new calendar year with a Chinese New Year's event. There werent many festives specific to Chinese New Year, but the Hong Kong Student Society served its niche well.

On a note of success, we hit a record for our head count on yesterday's event. There were almost fifty people, up to thirty new facer, and more importantly, a new volunteer into our board of officers.

Beatrice Soh will be joining our team in helping with HKSSMIT's execution. The the near future we will be continuing our expansion, and develop the organization to be more than just free food every once in a while.

Over the coming semester we will be working with the Hong Kong Government on a seminar about opportunities in Hong Kong, as well as letting Joshua Wong provide his opinion on Hong Kong's politics.
